Students at West Grantham Secondary Academy collected their GCSE results today. Among some notable successes, student Leo Major achieved a grade 8 in English literature, grade 7 in English language and religious studies, a L2 distinction in enterprise and creative media and strong passes across his remaining subjects. Leo said, “I will miss being here at West Grantham, the teachers are so good. I think that’s what makes it such a good school. It’s a nice community to be a part of.”
Leo’s mum, Jenna Smith said, “It’s absolutely fantastic. I have always told Leo you only get out what you put in. I think it has helped Leo coming to this school as well. I am certain that this morning I was a lot more nervous than he was!”
The academy is also delighted with its first set of engineering results which were delivered in collaboration with local businesses Pentangle Engineering and Iconic Engineering Solutions where Josh Riley and Cayden Howard-Ireland achieved a L2 distinction.
